When a patient enters cancer care, they’re looking for several markers of quality. These markers include accessible, friendly clinicians; affordability; education and engagement throughout treatment; and the best possible outcome from treatment.
The OMH model promotes these qualities among cancer centers, but encourages patients to become an active participant in the quality improvement process by registering to be a part of the OMH model as well. Many patients are invited by their care provider to submit data, but all patients are encouraged to submit data even when it is not mentioned by their provider.
Each completed survey is a treasure trove of information that is highly sought after by physicians, employers, insurers, and more. Don’t forget that the most important part of cancer is YOU!
